Job Requirements:

6 X5 K2 h% [' ^0 F: V. T$ G1. Possess a Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school (J.D.)
2. Admitted to the Bar in New York
) p  X" J' W- h0 x9 N* G- I3. Previous Law firm or Litigation experience
! ?: E9 m! Z, W7 \0 q( k: i1 H* O4. Individual should have strong legal research and organizational skills
5. Can speak both English and Chinese; and possess excellent written and verbal skills

The New York Chinese Legal Service Center provides various services for Chinese residents in the U.S. including:

1、Efficient handling of marriage green card applications, family sponsorships, and various immigration cases
2、Reentry permits, application for citizenship, green card, work permit applications, and extensions
3、Passport applications and renewals for both China and the U.S., embassy-authorized notarization and authentication
; }, n* m8 j6 k; d. S% e4、Obtaining a Taxpayer identification number for individuals without legal status, personal and corporate tax filings, handling various tax bureau correspondences.
, S' c! O) F' F/ u* m" U0 W5、Applying for government housing, elderly apartments, food stamps, cash subsidies, and various welfare benefits.
6、Processing retirement pensions, red and blue cards, bank cards, medicare cards, medicaid cards, senior citizen half-price subway cards, etc.
7、Student visa applications, F-1 visas, from application to obtaining an I-20 and then scheduling a visa appointment.
