padding-bottom: 10px; color: rgb(126, 126, 126);">华人通过手机监控，看到消防员消站在家门口灭火。（Blossom李提供）</figcaption></figure>8日一早，Blossom的家人从一条小路回家。根据她丈夫单先生回忆，当时看到房子没有被烧，非常庆幸，「山火已经烧到家门口，就隔一条马路，也就一米距离。第一次回家时，看到家对面还有明火在燃烧，火势不是很大，但房屋周围草木都已燃尽“。这户华人家所在地，共有四套房子，山上一套、山下包括Blossom家在内，共三套。单先生说，山上那套房子，周边树木虽已烧焦，但截至目前，这四户房子都平安躲过这场劫难。单先生表示，山的另外一边全被大火吞噬，距离家园半英里外的居民房屋，损失惨重。火势凶猛，近在咫尺，华人家为何能成功逃过此劫？ Blossom、单先生认为，原因之一是「当时风向发生改变，没有朝他们房子方向继续吹」;
